Christian Costa

Cuneo, 1976

The sculptural research of Christian Costa led to the definition of an original lexicon with mysterious shapes, suspended between surrealism and primitive art. Are compositions - both the monumental and the smaller ones - that recover ancient materials, such as wood, shaped by the imagination of the artist'' in order to obtain completely new works, whose aesthetic value comes from the sinuous lines and smooth surfaces on where the refractive luministic creates refined reflections that highlight the softness of the shapes, striking the sensitivity of the beholder.
